We are looking at a very dark, futuristic wallpaper. There are two apparent contrasts in the picture. Firstly it is the metallic, glossy surface of what obviously looks like organic forms of life. Secondly it is the direct contrast of purple and green, which in the end are opposite colors just as red and blue.
The silhouettes of buildings in the distance hints that we are looking at some sort of a landscape, probably an alien, non-terrestrial one. The perspective makes it seem that we perceive this alien world from a microscopic viewpoint… the threatening structures looming above us and threatening to engulf us might just as well be a kind of robotic vegetation. The android flora is illuminated by a purple light source which cannot itself be seen, giving the scene an unsettling, eerie tone. It might just as well be trees, or gigantic skyscrapers of an ancient extraterrestrial metropolis…
